Organizations and individuals who would like to provide or receive goods and services related to the evacuee relief effort should call 2-1-1 (cell phone callers should dial 232-4357).

Goodwill also offers job hunt services at Ambassador Caffery location in Lafayette.

Funding - Acadiana residents are urged to donate monetarily to organizations providing aid directly to relief efforts in this area. That's why the United Way of Acadiana has established the Hurricane Recovery Fund.

100% of the donations are given to reputable nonprofits, including churches, which are assisting evacuees right now. To donate, visit www.unitedwayofacadiana.org, call 377-233-8302 or drop off donations at United Way of Acadiana at 215 E. Pinhook, Lafayette, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
